During a trip to Hydra, Firuza said: “If I ever get married, I want to do it here on this island.”
Since the island turned out to be too tricky for the actual wedding, we would instead like to invite you to an optional rehearsal dinner on Hydra the week before the wedding.
We want guests to prioritize the wedding itself, but for those who can make it, we’ve planned a lovely rehearsal dinner and fun activities on the island the weekend before the wedding (sneak peek in the sketch above). Join us if you can!
More information about the venue, schedule, transportation, and accommodation will be available on this website shortly. If you have any questions in the meantime, you are very welcome to contact us.
Travel to Hydra
We are so happy that you want to join us for our rehearsal dinner on Hydra and we truly appreciate you making the journey all the way there.
Below, we’ve gathered some practical information on how to get to the island and we hope it will help make your trip as smooth as possible.
The journey begins with a flight to Athens. From Stockholm, Copenhagen, or Malmö, the flight takes approximately 3.5–4 hours. From Athens Airport, it’s easy to continue on to the port of Piraeus, either by taxi or public transportation. The journey takes around 45–60 minutes.
From Piraeus, ferries and high-speed boats depart for Hydra several times a day. The high-speed ferry takes about 1.5–2 hours and costs approximately €40–60. Once on Hydra, the island is car-free, and everything can be reached on foot, by boat or by donkey.

Hotels
We will be on Hydra from July 29th to August 3rd, and are very much looking forward to spending these days on the island together with you.
We will be staying at Hotel Leto on Hydra, a quiet boutique hotel with a central location in Hydra Town, right by the harbor and close to restaurants, cafés, and shops — a convenient and practical choice for us with a small child.
For the rehearsal dinner we have not arranged any shared accommodation, as we know that guests are planning their stay on the island differently.
Some of you will be staying longer as part of your summer vacation, while others will be flying in just for the dinner. For this reason, we leave the choice of accommodation up to you. Hydra offers plenty of charming hotels and Airbnb options.
Regardless of where you choose to stay, Hydra is a small island and distances are generally short. That said, it’s good to be aware that the town is built on slopes, so depending on your accommodation there may be some uphill walking — something to keep in mind for those traveling with small children and strollers.
At the harbor there are plenty of donkeys available to help transport luggage to your hotel upon arrival.
